With over 25 years of experience in events, food, beverage, and hospitality, Cammie Buehler is a seasoned consultant with a strong background in the industry. Alongside Chef Andrew Schudlich, she founded and managed Epicure Catering & Cherry Basket Farm, an award-winning local food-focused catering company and historic event venue in Leelanau County, Michigan, for 18 years until 2020. Her early career was spent working in restaurants and catering in different locations including Cincinnati, Leland, Tahoe City & Truckee, Park City, and Seattle.
As a consultant, Cammie specializes in event sales, management and production, venue management, staff management, coordination and training, code regulation and compliance, and on/off-site catering logistics, among others. Apart from her work as a consultant and freelance caterer, Cammie is one of the founding members of Northern Michigan Women in Hospitality, a networking group for women in the food, beverage, and event industry in Northern Michigan. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Great Lakes Culinary Institute and is the Land Protection Committee Chair and President of the Board of Directors of the Leelanau Conservancy, an organization whose mission is to conserve the land, water, and scenic character of Leelanau County. She has also worked closely with the Michael Chetcuti Foundation, which provides financial assistance and networking power to individuals and organizations in the LGBT community as well as organizations who support education opportunities for low-income students.
Cammie holds a BS in Outdoor Education from Ohio University, and finds her training in expeditionary preparedness and behavior an excellent foundation for catering and event work. She lives in Traverse City, MI, with her partner, Tyler Blumenfeld, and enjoys fly fishing and skiing, as well as traveling, reading, and of course, cooking and entertaining.
